Why is the FlexBeam better than an old school red/infrared wall panel?
RLT has been around for a while in the form of wall panels. These require you to stand in front of them at a particular distance for particular effects. FlexBeam conforms to the body to reach places that a wall panel can not. Is is placed on the skin and delivers a standardized dose of red and infrared light every time you use it. It can be worn using velcro straps, allowing you to go about your day while you take advantage of RLT.
How is the FlexBeam different from an infrared sauna?
The FlexBeam emits red and near-infrared light at wavelengths of 625nm-635nm and 810nm-850nm respectively. In contrast, infrared saunas typically use far-infrared light at longer wavelengths (above 3000nm) so their effect comes from the heat output rather than the light output.
